During the parallel events of the International Documentary Festival
“Beyond the Borders” Vrilissos Environmental Group will be
participating with a voluntary program for the cleaning of footpaths on
Castellorizo.

The 30 volunteers who will be participating will try to bring to the
fore places of historical, natural and cultural interest that exist on the
island, connecting ancient wine presses, tombs, Italian bunkers, fortresses and
observatories in the form of cultural trails.

This endeavour is mapped and recorded electronically on specific digital
pages so the trails can be accessible by every future hiker. This way the
island becomes a hiking destination, promoting an alternative form of tourism
that can be regarded as an extension of Lykian Way.
