John Michell at Megalithomania 2007
The original ‘Megalithomaniac’ John Michell gave a fascinating account of the excavators, scientists, theorists and artists who have fallen under the spell of the stones for centuries and been infected by ‘”megalithomania”.
Based on his 1982 book of the same name. John gave the organisers permission and encouraged us to use the name ‘Megalithomania’ for the conference back in 2005 and every year we hold the ‘John Michell Memorial Lecture’ and dedicate the conference to him. This year, John Martineau will be giving the annual address.
