The book ‘‘Packing and Transportation of Antiquities and Works of
Art’’, by V. Lampropoulos, contains important data of erosion and the state of
preservation of Antiquities and Works of Art, from various environmental
parameters of the immediate or indirect environment and ways of dealing with
preventive conservation methods. Also parameters during the packaging and
transport of Works of Art and Museum exhibits and ways to regulate them are
mentioned.
Then, ways and
methods of safe packaging of Works of Art for transportation over short and
long distances and suitable means for their realization are analyzed. Finally,
the book contains corresponding packing and transport works of Monuments and
Works of Art that have already been carried out, with methods of preventive
conservation and regulation of the direct or indirect environment of packaging
and transport of Works of Art and Museum Objects.
