The History and Archives Committee of the Castellorizian Association in
Sydney held its inaugural exhibition in the newly completed Castellorizian
Gallery. This purpose-built room was
created to house historical exhibitions highlighting the rich cultural history
of the island of Castellorzio. The first exhibition was highly successful and
ran as part of the Greek Festival of Sydney attracting over 500 visitors.

The
exhibition titled Kores, Nyfes, Gynes focused on the Castellorizian Foresia
(Stoli) – ΔΙΑΒΑΣΤΕ: Γ. Λεκάκης “Παραδοσιακές Φορεσιές” – its origins and history including a photographic display and original
pieces of the Stoli brought from the island to Australia. The exhibition
included a video presentation explaining all components of the Stoli in detail.
